Corcaigh in Irish, from corcach, meaning "marsh".
Cork is the second city of the Republic of Ireland after Dublin . It is the principal city and administrative centre of County Cork and the largest city of the province of Munster.

It is known as the Rebel City.

    I attend primary school here in the 1960's. Everything was taught through Irish by some excellent teachers including Risteard O' Murchu and Diarmaid O' Murchu (known to us as small murph)
